Bukit Tinggi 2004: 2.4 km road Posted by THP on Monday, June 14, 2004 @ 12:00 AM (GMT+0800) | On June 12, 2004, taking place on an undisclosed road located somewhere within the Bukit Tinggi Resort, with a satisfactory technical 2.4 km course worth traveling to, as well as NO TRAFFIC (except vehicles belonging to utility servicemen and construction workers), this session managed to attract several newbies from Raleigh International Malaysia, courtesy of Ivan Chen. The session consisted of Furlong, Ivan, KJ, Vignesh, Evangeline, Mani, Reena, Ly Mun, and Hooi Shin. Furlong was the street luge instructor of the day, with KJ being the co-instructor since he seems to have a fast learning curve on the street luge. Ivan was the main videographer of the day, having only taken one ride on the 2.4 km stretch. Everyone else took turns riding, driving the chase truck, flagging the various corners, as well as taking photos. We were supposed to be joined by more people, including Ariff Budiman and Joe Ipoh from the previous week's session at Bukit Kiara, as well as Azhar from MATBoardz, but due to last minute change of plans, they could not show up. It would have been cool to see these guys show up and bring their skateboards, mountainboards, and mountain bikes since Ariff happens to have his Zerology team of extreme athletes, but we had to continue going on nevertheless. All the newbies from Raleigh had fun, and most of them hoped to try street luge again when Furlong returns to Malaysia this December 2004, hopefully.
